What is a master-planned community?
By definition, a master-planned community is a connected community that offers a high number of recreational amenities such as parks, lakes, bike paths, and jogging trails. It may include a mix of uses such as commercial, residential, and/or civic spaces within the community. The scope of the plan is usually very large-scale and the number and variety of amenities clearly separates it from a normal plan for a housing subdivision.

Why Southeast Austin?
Goodnight is proud to be a pioneer of a region that has historically been very rural. Austin is growing rapidly, and Goodnight will offer residents a place that they can live, work, and play without having to commute. For those that work downtown, Goodnight is less than 10 miles to downtown—the same distance that The Arboretum is to downtown.

Where can I get more information on homes?
Goodnight will host different styles of single-family homes, condominiums, and multi-family apartment buildings. If you’re interested in buying a home or condo, contact one of our builders. For apartment information, sign up to receive updates on multi-family projects.

What is the Park District deductible district tax?
The deductible district tax is estimated to be $0.20 for each $100 of property value. This tax will go towards providing meaningful, programmed park space for the Austin community.
Where will funding for the education initiatives come from?
Funding for the education initiatives will come through a fee collected upon the sale of residences in Goodnight. Distributions of the funds will be board driven. For information about how to participate please contact us.

Goodnight is located south of downtown and east of I-35 off of Slaughter Lane.
Directions from downtown Austin: Head south on I-35 towards San Marcos. Take the exit for Slaughter Lane and turn left (east). Goodnight is located at Slaughter Lane and Vertex.
