Apr 29, 2019

Austin is remarkably well-known for its series of festivals in specialties ranging from food, film and music.

They happen all throughout the year at various parts of city, attracting both local and tourist crowds. This year, Goodnight residents have a large selection to choose from and we’ve highlighted the top three festivals coming up in the spring and early summer months:

The Victory Cup – Derby Day May 3rd and 4th

The Austin 15th Annual Victory Cup returns once again this year on May 3rd and 4th with a special Hot Air Balloon feature alongside side its Kentucky Derby celebration! Spend the weekend socializing and networking while cheering on several live polo matches leading up to a live broadcast of The Kentucky Derby. There will also be live music, food and drink vendors, and Austin’s first and only Hot Air Balloon event.

Pecan Street Spring Festival May 4th and 5th

This year’s 42nd annual Pecan Street Festival is sure to raise plenty of crowds and excitement at its regular 6th Street location with over 300 featured artists, a wide selection of food from around the globe, over a dozen live music artists, arts and crafts workshops, and so much more. A perfect weekend event to spend with your loved ones celebrating Austin’s creative community.

Soul of Austin Culture Fest June 1st

What a better way to kick off summer in Austin than to spend the day at Soul of Austin Culture fest, uniquely designed to celebrate the world of art, music, and food. This family-friendly event takes place on the East Side and features a large showcase of live performers, local cuisine caterers and artists, educators, and dozens of small businesses.
